ReachX Credit Panel - Implications of the Crisis for Credit Markets

Please join ReachX advisors Raphael Kassin, GJ Prasad and Eugene Regis to discuss the implications of the current crisis on private, public and EM credit markets on Thursday 2nd April at 1400 GMT

The panellists will cover the following topics

• Where we are in terms of monetary accommodation and what else can the central banks do.  The Impact of the crisis on European banks and what to look out for.
   
• Implications for private assets on potentially 2 or 3 quarters with little cashflow. Will this prove the flexibility of cov-lite loans with less covenants to breach but low recoveries if they do end up defaulting? Where do we see high-yield defaults given the weakness of the consumer and low oil prices?
   
• For Emerging Markets, is this crisis different or just another buying opportunity? Will the IMF step in as the FED, ECB and others did to support EM economies? Once economies return to 'normality', what is likely to happen to EM countries and their bonds?

GJ Prasad
- Senior Financials Research Strategist / Portfolio Manager specialising in bank capital and liquid credit macro.
- GJ has significant expertise in bank capital instruments having covered the asset class for more than 15 years as analyst and 7 years as risk taker in buy side roles at BNP Paribas, BofA ML, JP Morgan, Millennium and Caxton.  

Eugene Regis
- High-Yield & Leveraged Finance Credit Strategist with over 20 years of experience at Barclays and MUFG
- Eugene was also a member of MUGF’s Credit Portfolio Management team which managed and hedged a €100 billion European loan portfolio.

Raphael Kassin
- Experienced Global Emerging Markets fixed-income investment manager, rated AAA by Citywire.
- Has managed UCITS and hedge funds, hard currency and local assets, sovereign and corporate at ABN Amro and Credit Suisse Asset Management.
