The company, led by President and Chief Executive Officer Paul Welch, has an eight to nine well programme that targets oil and gas prospectivity in Egypt, alongside appraisal and development locations in Morocco.

Welch says his company is open to adding to its portfolio and sees Egypt as a natural market for consolidation, while Morocco presents enticing opportunities for the future. The next 12 months are likely to be pretty interesting for SDX Energy with first gas production expected at South Disouq, Egypt accompanied by increased gas production in Morocco.
