Interim Chief Risk Officer

A globally recognised financing company with office across Europe, USA and Asia is now looking for a Chief Risk Officer (CRO) for a 12 month contract at their offices in Berlin or London. The role offers remote work options.  

The company works with high profile technology and media outlets based globally to offer scalable financing solutions.  

Core responsibilities of the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) Role: 

• Drive the structuring and approval of the companies risk position 
• Supporting the refinancing of customer portfolios and champion compliance standards re being upheld 
• Support the growth of the wider Risk Team including interviewing risk and legal specialists 
• Working with other business areas such as sales, finance and operations and developing the long term company strategy 
• Developing new financing products and providing risk advisory 
• Outlining the end to end customer lending process and focussing on digitalising the credit process 

Essential Experience Required: 

• Experience in: Investments, Commercial Banking, Lending, Invoice Finance or experience with Credit Rating Agency 
• Experience with developing and setting credit underwriting processes  
• Experience with traditional data (e.g. financial statements) and non traditional data (e.g. bank accounts) 
• Experience leading teams 
• Passionate about technology and an understanding of the latest underwriting technologies 
• Previous experience as a Chief Risk Officer 

The successful candidate will need to be based in either Berlin or London but does have the option to be remote based/work from home also. 

English speaking is essential, German is desirable (not essential)
