ReachX is sourcing a senior independent consultant on behalf of a confidential client — a profitable media technology business with revenues in excess of £/€100M — seeking an exceptional facilitator to lead a half-day or full-day strategy workshop for its Executive Committee (ExCo).

 

This is a high-impact, short-duration engagement with a prestigious client at a defining moment in their AI transformation journey. The right advisor will shape how a senior leadership team thinks about and prioritises AI across their business over the next 12–18 months.

The Brief

 

The client's ExCo requires an experienced, credible external voice to facilitate a structured strategy session covering:

 

- The AI opportunity landscape specific to media and content technology businesses

- Competitive benchmarking: what peers and disruptors are doing with AI

- Organisational readiness assessment: where AI can generate near-term value vs. longer-horizon bets

- Prioritisation framework: helping the ExCo align on 3–5 AI initiatives to resource and own

- Change leadership considerations: culture, talent, and governance for AI adoption

 

The session will be attended by C-suite and direct reports (typically 8–15 senior executives). Gravitas, directness, and the ability to command a room of sceptics and believers alike are essential.

Ideal Candidate Profile

 

Sector Experience

- Deep operational or advisory experience in media, publishing, broadcasting, streaming, adtech, or adjacent content technology sectors

- Hands-on exposure to AI/ML deployment in a commercial media context (recommendation engines, content personalisation, ad optimisation, generative AI for content production, etc.)

- Familiarity with the economics and business models of £50M–£500M media businesses

 

Seniority & Credibility

- Former VP, SVP, MD, or C-suite practitioner — or a strategy consultant who has operated at that level within the sector

- Track record advising or serving on the leadership teams of recognisable media or media-tech companies

- Comfortable presenting to and challenging ExCo-level audiences without deferring

 

Facilitation & Advisory Skills

- Proven ability to design and lead executive workshops (not just present)

- Structured thinker who can distil complexity into actionable frameworks in real time

- Intellectually rigorous on AI — able to separate genuine capability from hype, and ground recommendations in business outcomes

 

What We're Not Looking For

- Pure academics or researchers without commercial application experience

- Generalist management consultants without genuine media-tech sector depth

- Speakers who deliver fixed presentations rather than adaptive, interactive facilitation

Location Client's offices (UK or Europe); travel covered
